The idea for Mixlo began several years ago, as Hunter Derrick and Brandon "Bowie" Roy were writing, recording, and playing songs as an active part of their local music scene in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.

  While they had these experiences, they noticed issues that they and many other musicians were struggling with and started piecing together how modern technology could help musicians find more success in the modern streaming market.

  In the Spring of 2020, when the local music industry was devastated by the Covid-19 shutdowns, Hunter and Bowie realized that the need for Mixlo had hit a boiling point, and began working on Mixlo to help musicians be able to thrive during any situation.

  Since then, they have gathered an experienced team and have developed Mixlo from the ground up according to both their personal experiences and the experiences of many other artists across the globe.
